Discover Mount Etna

A full tour of Mount Etna, a UNESCO site since 2013, giving the opportunity to scour the slopes of the mountain as well as altitudes. Departure by bus with tour leader, our first point of arrival is the Alcantara Gorge, where we make a short stopover. The Gorges of the Alcantara river are formed from solidified basalt and are quite impressive. You can walk along the bed of the river by paying an extra ticket. We then proceed to Randazzo where we board the "Circumetnea", an old traditional narrow-gauge train that goes around the foot of the volcano reaching up to Adrano in the south. Then by bus again, reaching 1,900 meters. Stop with the possibility of soft trekking for visiting the most recent lava flows and the Silvestri craters, now extinct. Lunch is extra.
