Established in 1994, the Maddalena Archipelago National Park covers over 20,000 hectares of land and sea. The archipelago includes over 60 islands, large and small. Prominent are Budelli, Caprera, Razzoli, Santa Maria, Santo Stefano and Spargi, destinations of unforgettable boat tours from Baja Sardinia, La Maddalena, Palau and Santa Teresa Gallura, which form natural monuments and diving grounds, in particular the shallows of Spargiotello and Washington, Punta Coticcio and Grottino di San Francesco.
